One by one, a family begins dying at a funeral, while Youngest searches for the stranger in their midst.
One of Us is an allegorical gothic horror about the things that haunt families in secret, written and directed by Stefan van de Graaff and shot in Northern Ireland.
A note from the director
I’ll be honest. One of Us is a confrontational film. You’ll need to lock in to get anything out of it. But I believe your attention will be rewarded. Carl Jung wrote that art needs to rise above the personal and speak from one heart to another. Why should film be any different from a great poem or a life-altering painting?
So I wrote the film to challenge you, then frighten you, and hopefully send you home a little changed.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, then please submit your email to be notified of its release. Independent films are in dire straits these days. But even an email address can go a long way toward proving to distributors, streamers and theaters that there’s demand for this type of cinema. If you’re willing, you’d be doing a great service to me, the cast and crew, and other independent filmmakers. Thank you.
